Parody of Taylor Swift's You Belong With Me
I'm lagging behind all the others
When I run.
I don't get an A because
I'm short of breath.
I can never run at the speed
That they do.
I'm in the room.
It's a typical Tuesday night.
I'm slaving at my homework
As it piles up.
Everyone does it faster than I do.
You rush through it,
Look at your grade
You are appalled
Because I did it better.
Been contemplating life
And thinking about the day
That you'd stop being
Ignorant and see through my eyes.
If you see that being smart is a challenge
And that I am portrayed as
An immaculate being
Can you see that you're lying?
Walking to the room, another normal face
Anxiety building up within my brain.
Asking others if I'll fail, but they will say
"You can't if you tried!"
And my sense of humor can light up a whole town,
But I think you only want me for my brain.
I think, without it, I'd be nothing but a pain.
I get an A, and I rejoice
But no one wants to hear my voice!
I take longer
You look at me.
Two days later,
I got a better grade.
Been contemplating life
And thinking about the day
That you'd stop being
Ignorant and see through my eyes.
If you see that being smart is a challenge
And that I am portrayed as
An immaculate being
Can you see that you're lying?
Standing, waiting
For the doors to open
And I feel the pressure already.
Uncognizant you can be...
Please don't lie about me...
Oh, I remember you
Saying that I cheat
Right before my science test.
I'm the one who has advanced
And yet you insulted me
With offensive words like that
Hurt more than cichlids' bites.
I think you should lay off
Because I'm not what I seem.
If you see that being smart is a challenge
And that I am portrayed as
An immaculate being
Can you see that you're lying?
Standing, waiting
For the doors to open
And I feel the pressure already.
Uncognizant you can be...
Please don't lie about me...
I just an answer..
Can you see that you're lying?
